Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Plumbing Manufacturers Institute. PMI members represent over 95% of the nation’s marketshare of plumbing products.
Participation in PMI affords members the opportunity to work with other manufacturers to positively effect changes in the the industry. Our membership consititutes a strong voice on legislative and regulatory matters, plumbing and building codes and standards, water conservation and provides marketing and management information to its members and the industry.
Eligible prospective members may attend a maximum of two PMI semi-annual meetings as a non-member. It’s a great way to see first hand the value of membership and to determine if PMI is right for you!

Criteria for Membership
Potential members of PMI must manufacture, in a significant quantity, one or more plumbing industry products that are sold within the limits of the NAFTA countries: Canada, United States and Mexico.
The first step to becoming a member of PMI is filling out the membership application form. (Download Application: Word DOC | PDF) After the application form is received, it will be reviewed by the Executive Director of the Plumbing Manufacturers Institute and the Board of Directors. It will then be determined if the potential member meets the manufacturing prerequisites set forth by the membership by-laws.
Once approved, you’ll be on your way to enjoying the benefits of PMI!
